Can I change the battery?: The Viper battery is sealed shut to fully protected it from the elements. An auxiliary battery is available - see batteries tab.
What are the burn times?: Burn times are on the batteries tab and also in the manual which you can see on the manual page.
Are Vipers suitable for cave diving?: Vipers were designed for caving, and have been tested to 10m depth to ensure they will stand up to regular dips in water. They are not suitable for cave diving.
Why is the switch on the battery pack?: We think this is the best place for it, and extensive testing in the Mendips confirmed our thoughts.
Are the LEDs replaceable?: Yes. If better binned LEDs come out then we will offer an upgrade service at a reasonable cost.
I see your warranty is 12 months, will you leave me forever after that?: Of course not. This product is used in a very harsh environment, so 12 months warranty is reasonable. After that we will do the best we can to help you, although in some cases this may incur a reasonable charge.
Can I sell this in my shop?: We are always looking for more retailers - email us to find out if you qualify.
I'm going on a ground-breaking expedition, can I get a free Viper light please?: Nope. But we may be able to give you a discount in return for feedback, photos and publicity - email us to see.
I'm part of an organisation, can I demo a Viper?: Maybe. Contact Warmbac wetsuits, who hold the demo units and see what they say.
Is there a bike mount available?: Not yet. If enough people badger us then we will look into it.
What's the beam width?: Technically its a 'medium' beam but we don't give a degrees figure because its an extremely even texture that fades from a wonderful central spot to the edges.
What's the weight?: Good point. The lamp unit weighs 130g and the battery weighs 280g.
